Raford “Rip” Bussey is a member of the firm’s civil litigation team, representing clients involved in real estate, business, and construction law matters. He is admitted to practice in both Virginia and South Carolina.
Rip is originally from Clarks Hill in McCormick County, South Carolina. After law school, he moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he gained valuable court experience as a criminal defense and family law attorney. He and his wife moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 2018 and Rip transitioned to practice as a general practice attorney before joining HPL+P. Rip has significant experience in a variety of practice areas which serve him well in effectively advising clients on the wide range of legal and practical issues that often arise in civil litigation.
Outside of the office, Rip enjoys spending time with his wife and their three Great Danes. He returns to his family farm in Clarks Hill as often as his schedule permits. He is also a diehard Atlanta sports fan, which has undoubtedly taken years off of his life.
