Luke Smith is an Associate Attorney that works with HPLP’s civil litigation team in the Greenville, SC office. His practice focuses on civil litigation, including business and construction litigation, contract law, HOA disputes, and appeals. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in South Carolina.
Luke was born and raised in Greenville. After graduating from Riverside High School, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Coastal Carolina University and went on to attend the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. During his time in law school, Luke served as Chief Justice of the school’s Moot Court Bar, competed in national moot court competitions, and had the honor of being inducted into the Order of Barristers. He also had the honor of receiving membership in the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and pupil membership in the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court.
Prior to joining HPLP, Luke worked as an attorney at another local firm and represented clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters.
Luke is proud to practice law in his hometown and spends much of his free time enjoying the many events and outdoor activities that Greenville has to offer.
