Helen Claire Ralsten is a member of HPLP’s workers’ compensation defense team in the Charleston office. Her practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense, representing and counseling insurance carriers, employers, self-insureds, and others throughout South Carolina.

Helen Claire was born in Charleston, West Virgina but spent most of her childhood in Peachtree City, Georgia. After graduating from Starrs Mill High School, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Georgia. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law, where she earned CALI awards in Professional Responsibility, Criminal Law, and Reproductive Rights and Justice. Helen began clerking for HPLP during her 2L summer.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her goldendoodle, Dood, exploring the beautiful low country, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
