Chris Schwartz is a member of the HPLP’s civil litigation team in the Greenville office. Chris represents real estate, business, and construction law clients. He is admitted to practice law in the State Court of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Chris is originally from Springfield, Illinois. After finishing high school, he moved to the Upstate – attending Clemson University and earning a Bachelor of Science in political science. During his summers away from Clemson, Chris worked as a camp counselor and division leader at YMCA Camp Greenville.
While at the University of South Carolina School of Law, Chris gained experience in a variety of roles, including as the Honor Council Chair, the Research Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Education, and as a Judicial Extern for Judge Blake Hewitt of the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
Before joining HPLP, Chris worked as a civil litigation attorney in Columbia. Chris has experience managing cases in various practice areas, including construction cases, real estate disputes, contractual disputes, and both state and federal court appeals.
When not at work, you can find Chris, his wife, and their dog Ted on walks around Greenville or attempting their latest home project.
